1. Finished painting my first mini this morning! I’m very happy with how she turned out.

Has anyone tried this? I’m really considering it. My hair gets super oily and I have to wash it every single day. If anyone has tried it please let me know. If I do I will make posts about the journey.

I’m not no ‘poo, but I stopped washing every day, and my hair is much happier and less oily. I condition daily to remove styling product, and I shampoo every 7 to 10 days. It’s quite true that by shampooing daily you NEED to shampoo daily. It’s a vicious cycle.

  5. I firmly believe in small gestures: pay for their coffee, hold the door for strangers, over tip, smile or try to be kind even when you don’t feel like it, pay compliments, chase the kid’s runaway ball down the sidewalk and throw it back to him, try to be larger than you are— particularly when it’s difficult. People do notice, people appreciate. I appreciate it when it’s done to (for) me. Small gestures can be an effort, or actually go against our grain (“I’m not a big one for paying compliments…”), but the irony is that almost every time you make them, you feel better about yourself. For a moment life suddenly feels lighter, a bit more Gene Kelly dancing in the rain.

  7. I would really love a doughnut today, but it’s a holiday and Glory Hole is closed. Booo! So I am mentally reliving the cherry pie doughnut I had earlier this year…

  8. This beauty arrived in the mail while I was out of town. Meet Alis, Cleric of Pharasma, Healer and Adventurer! I’ve never painted a mini before, and she is so tiny. I will start this weekend with trimming, filing and priming.
